Originally designed as a turnkey program intended to provide service members with healthier indoor environments and protect PPVs from hazardous liabilities, Environmental Assurance has expanded its original military housing program to provide for full-service rehabilitation and ownership transition.

Environmental Assurance's extensive background working with PPVs and military families affords us great insight into the needs of service members and PPVs where their homes are located. In addition to all of our other unique valued added services, we have superior inspection and documentation procedures that follow a previously approved Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Manual.

Since the vast majority of military housing is old enough to warrant demolition during the Initial Development Period (IDP), Environmental Assurance can also create a matrix to compare the cost of remediation with the rent recovered prior to demolition, much like we do in the private sector.

In many cases, Environmental Assurance has successfully identified military housing that can be rehabilitated while only pinpointing specific structures for demolition. Any structure slated for demolition will return a percentage of recyclable material. For example, all concrete was recovered and recycled for second grade usage on our most recent military rehabilitation project.
